That cutscene was the most damning of the US dev team’s involvement. Compared, the cutscene of them escaping Shinra Tower couldn’t be more different. The cup sizes couldn’t have been more different… to quote a completely different game, “Beeg Mereecan teetees.”
FFVII really came out before a lot of the censoring stated. That is what made the game so great, so memorably. They were not politically correct. They let the characters be who they are supposed to be. My fear now, is that with PC-ness and censorship, the remake will not live up to the old version
