Welp, I finally played my first game on the Nintendo Switch. Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Hard to turn down a classic strategy RPG game. I haven’t started on Octopath Traveler yet, though Fred bought that one too. It’s disappointing that I can’t use the online features for FE:3H without having a paid Nintendo Online account. Ah well, I’ll manage without it. 🙂
I kindly point you to this as Rise takes place in the ‘numbered’ Monster Hunter line.
Last panel reminds me of Saddam’s line from the South park movie: “Comin’toGetcha! Comin’toGetcha!” 🙂
You’re not missing much not having online in regards to Three Houses — unless you spend every week visiting the monastery instead of doing the other options, what you’re not seeing is “percent of people who picked which option for the week” (the in-monastery stuff is not much more, most of what I got out of it is buying an item from a given person’s student ambassador; also, the system lagged in handheld mode when you came close to where those npcs hung out, if you had that enabled anyway)
Having watched Fred play it, I wanted the chance to pick up those in-battle things for free exp and items, but it’s not a deal breaker in playing the game that I don’t have access to those. I do ok without. 🙂
Playing after the update, I reacted to seeing it as thus calm looks over, “oh neat they added bazelgeuse.” Then a couple of seconds after recognition kicks in, “OH fuck, they added Bazelgeuse!!!”
